Generally speaking, ADSS optical cables are cheaper and easier to install than OPGW (Optical Fiber Composite Ground Wire) in many applications. It is advisable to use power lines or nearby towers to install ADSS optical cables, and even in some places, it is necessary to use ADSS optical cables. The main uses of ADSS optical cables are:

(1) Using it as an introduction and exit optical cable for OPGW system relay stations, based on its safety attributes, can effectively solve the problem of power isolation when introducing and exiting relay stations.

(2) Utilize it as a transmission optical cable for fiber optic communication systems in high-voltage (110kV-220kV) power grids. Especially in many places, it is very convenient to use it when renovating old communication lines.

(3) Use it for fiber optic communication systems in 6kV~35kV~180kV distribution networks.
